My T-ball boys

Time for my third post in 3 days...It is T-Ball season here in Iwakuni and we signed both our boys up!  Unfortunately, this will be the only post with any pictures of Carter looking so adorable in his 5x too big uniform...he just has no interest anymore and won't participate and bribes and begging were getting me nowhere, and since Zach is gone and I am doing this season entirely by myself, I decided to drop him from his team and just keep the expensive uniform for dress ups, haha.  Here is the first week:

Opening ceremonies.
Stretching before the very first game!
Mason picked #4 on his own, which has been my lucky number since elementary school:)
Running warmuups.
Mason and his friend Aiden waiting in the dugout for their turn at bat.
Carter giving Mason some mid-game encouragement.
Mason's first time batting at his first game! (He caught the ball twice from other batters and threw it to first base and he never got out...although even if someone gets out, it doesn't really count and they don't keep score.)
High-fiving the other team.
After Mason's game was over we stayed to watch his friends Jackson and Jordan's team play.
Is this not the cutest ever? Carter loved his first practice...but the love ended there.
Running to first base...I about died from the cuteness!
Zach got to see the boys' first practice before he left and was helping out.

I have some videos that I will post when I figure it out...and I will document the rest of Mason's games and of course we will get the "professional" pictures and I will post those too.  So far T-ball season is off to a great start even if Carter is only an enthusiastic game watcher!

Kintai Bridge

Here is post 2 out of 5:)  The weekend before Zach left for Okinawa (I will get to that blog post soon...but he is there for 2 months for Sgt. Course) we went to the Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni for a family picnic.  You have to pay to walk across the bridge, but it was so cool!  It was a perfect day and is just a few minutes from the base!
Kintai Bridge
Iwakuni Castle.  You can ride a tram up or hike up to tour this castle which we definitely plan to do before we leave!

Crossing the bridge.  Mason is so attached to this stuffed duck from Scentsy.  He wanted it since he saw it in the catalog and he chose Cherry Limeade for the scent pack inside of him and he has been literally inseparable from this duck since he arrived in the mail.

Mason saw some older kids skipping rocks on the water so he tried to skip some himself.
Our picnic spot.

After our picnic lunch we decided to get some local icecream.

The grounds across the bridge was very beautiful.
Love my boys so much!
There was a monkey performing in the park.  The boys LOVED it and laughed a lot.
The last of the cherry blossoms still hanging on.
That grassy spot in the middle of the picture is where we ate our lunch.

Although I am not a big fan of Japan...I will admit there are some really cool parts about living here (like seeing streets like this) and sometimes it just hits me that we really live in another country.

This is a shrine behind the stop light...Japan is so different from America.

Dino Park!

I am so overwhelmed with how behind I have gotten on blogging.  I just uploaded all my pictures and edited them and realized I have 5 blog posts worth! (So for those you read my blog and rely on it for updated pictures of my kids and our goings on...like you Dad...I am sorry that I have not kept up as best as I should.)  But, we have been SO busy! I will try to get all 5 posts worth up as soon as I can find the time, so check back often the next day or two.

A few weeks ago we went with some friends to a nearby Dinosaur park.  It is up in the mountains with gorgeous views and the boys loved it!

Overlooking the ocean.

There were bunnies, horses, monkeys, and birds to see.

Riding the lift up to the top of a giant roller slide!

Going down the slide together
That is the slide in the background.  If I can ever figure out how to download my videos, I videoed the whole ride down:)
My love/hate here in Japan.  Love how beautiful cherry blossoms are ALL over Japan...hate how my allergies have never been worse in my entire life!
A playground at the park.
